Idiopathic Scoliosis
These are different examples of patients who had a single staged posterior correction of their deformities.
Case 
A female patient 14 y. + 8 m. old presented with a type II B curve pattern. Her dorsal and lumbar curves were 79º and 43º respectively which were reduced to 70º and 25º on side-bending films. Her dorsal kyphosis measured 12º. Postoperatively, her curves were corrected to 23º and 12º respectively. Her dorsal kyphosis was corrected to 30º. On her last follow-up (10 m.), her curves were corrected to 26º and 17º respectively. Her dorsal kyphosis was corrected to 32º. The patient gained 8 cm. in height.
